NGIOKA Native Plant Nursery: 2025
Situated along Dixon Drive at Little Beach hidden behind Sunnyfield disability services is the Native Plant Nursery ‘NGIOKA’ (pronounced ‘Ny-o-ka’ meaning ‘sunshine/light’). Open Tue & Fri 8.0 – 12.00
Council owned but entirely run by dedicated volunteers it has expansively catered for all Port Stephens Landcare groups as well as supplying plants for Council Parks & Gardens, foreshore plantings & associated projects for many years.
Also assisting FoNPWS, Koala Hospital, Mambo Wetlands, Tilligerry Habitat, NB Golf Club, Oakvale Wildlife Park to name just a few as well as many Community Groups & Public projects that warrant help.
Over recent years Ngioka Native Nursery has also grown many specific Koala-friendly trees in effort to restore some lost habitat for our diminishing endangered Wildlife & Koala populations.
